Abstract:
In recent years, Ann Beattie’s short stories have been widely read and studied in China. However, the dometic scholars mainly conduct research from the perspectives of minimalism and feminism. This paper offers an ecological interpretation of The New Yorker Stories from three dimensions, i.e. nature, society and psychology, and explores the alienation world between man and nature, man and society, as well as man and himself in the historical context of “Baby Boom” generation.
