任务重复对学习者口语输出具有重要影响。文章梳理和分析2010年以来国际学术界有关任务重复与学习者口语输出关系的研究。分析发现,研究者均在实验室或教室中采用横断面设计,从学习者口语复杂度、准确度和流利度,注意力资源转移,第一语言、词汇、话语结构使用以及介入其他变量方面进行研究。这些研究表明:1)复杂度、准确度和流利度之间存在竞争关系,但保证一定重复间隔,给予学习者计划和学习的时间与机会,可以帮助其实现语言均衡发展;2)任务重复可以促使学习者转移注意力资源,关注语言形式;3)任务重复对学习者第一语言、词汇和话语结构使用有积极作用。文章在归纳已有研究结论的基础上,剖析了可能存在的问题,以期为未来研究和教学提供启示。
Abstract:
Task repetition affects learners’ oral production. This paper reviews research on the relationship between task repetition and learners’ oral production since 2010. Findings reveal that researchers, via cross-sectional design in labs or classrooms, studied task repetition effects in terms of complexity, accuracy, fluency, attention orientation, L1 use, lexicon use, discourse patterns, and the interaction with other mediating variables. These studies show that learners’ complexity, accuracy, and fluency, though competing with each other, can achieve balanced development; task repetition can enable learners to focus on form; in addition, task repetition also has positive effects on learners’ L1 use, lexicon use and discourse patterns. The paper also analyzes the limitations and problems of relevant research, which may provide implications for future studies.
