摘要:
M. A. K. Halliday创建的系统功能语言学，既是普通语言学，也是适用语言学。它是基于意义关系论进行构建的，它的最终目标是：1）建立功能语义学，从而实现对意义的普通描写：2）发展马克思主义语言学，把语言及语言学研究放置在社会语境中，以此来解决现实社会中的各种与语言有关的问题。本文对Halliday的语言学思想进行简述，以此说明为什么他会提出系统生态语言学这一概念。
Abstract:
Systemic Functional Linguistics designed by M. A. K. Halliday is both a general linguistics and an appliable linguistics. It is based on a relational theory of meaning and its ultimate goal is to establish functional semantics and to promote a Marxist linguistics which places language and linguistics in their social contexts， with the aim of solving language-related problems in the society. The paper reviews Halliday’s linguistic theory， through which the motivation of his proposal for systemic ecolinguistics is identified and discussed.
